Tidewater Café at Community Bingo Center

During the summer of 2006, two local Bingo Halls changed their business practices and evicted the charities that were raising monies by holding Bingo nights. The many non-profit organizations affected by this change struggled for months to find a suitable location to re-instate the games. Richard Danais, President of Upreach (one of the charities) and owner of a large real estate firm, recognized the challenge and responded by designating one of his building locations on Holt Avenue in Manchester as the new Community Bingo Center, providing a new home to the displaced charities.
Tidewater Catering Group was asked to participate in the RFP process to operate the café and vending inside the CBC during all Bingo games, 7 nights a week. We were awarded the contract and again worked with the General Contractors and assisted in designing a kitchen within the limitations of the building and codes.
The Center and Café opened in April 2007 with crowds growing each week.
In October 2007, senior management from Elliott Hospital's satellite Rehabilitation facility approached us, requesting that we open the Café for lunch to service the 160 employees in their offices. We agreed and have expanded that service to the entire office park (with the Union Leader as a regular client) as well as the general public offering fax ahead orders, large platters and delivery.
